On Saturday, April 12, 2008 PVRS responded Technical Rescue 263 to the Potsdam Municipal Airport. When on-scene, we discovered an AirFreight plane that had left the tarmac and was stuck in the mud approximately 100 feet from the runway. PVRS's air bag lifting device was used to lift the collapsed landing gear so that a dolly could be inserted under the port-side wing. Once this was accomplished, Martin's wrecker was used to winch the airplane from the mire. Potsdam Fire responded with R-14 to assist with its' supply of compressed air. View more...
